The Process:
As a musician, music releases will be a constant throughout your career. A release cycle is an excellent opportunity to build, adjust, and/or perfect your overall career and business strategy. Through our coaching and development services we will walk you through the entirety of the release cycle, addressing all strengths and weaknesses to help you build a solid foundation for your business, help you learn and use best practices to build effective and efficient habits & systems, and give you a rounded and full skillset to take with you in your music career.
STEP 1 – DISCOVERY PHASE: Prior to the rollout of any release, you must first understand your brand and your audience. This “discovery phase” is foundational to a successful release and to overall career building. This is where we build out the foundation of your strategy.
STEP 2 – RELEASE CYCLE: Once your strategy foundation is laid out and your content is in production, it is now time to start implementing that strategy within the release cycle.

In your campaign, starting in discovery, you will learn how each of the phases work together to create a comprehensive release strategy. Your coach will help you keep it all on track.

- Operations – Developing your business foundation, process and organization, managing assets, income streams, research & outreach, building your team
- Marketing – Promotion, strategy, ad campaigns, visual asset planning, audience relationship building
- Branding – Core message, brand identity, wardrobe, partnership and sponsorship opportunities
- Performance – Tour & booking strategy, setlist design, stage and show design, stage presence, honing the craft
- Publicity – Pitching strategy, getting press, network and relationship building, utilizing metrics and proof of concept, visibility, trust building
- Content Strategy – Social media management, process development, idea generation, content calendars and post scheduling, batch-creating, mental load and time management
STEP 3 – CONTINUED COACHING & DEVELOPMENT: After completing the first release cycle, systems will have been set in place, and growing pains will have been worked through. Some artists choose to take it from here. However, many choose to continue coaching for evolving and improving strategy and career management, and for the additional support and accountability. When its time for your next release we will guide the process again, building on the foundation that has been laid, focusing on efficiency, growth, accountability, and improved process management.

FAQ
Do I have to record with your team?
No, many artists already have this part sorted, but we find that the benefit of an added professional outside perspective can be the key to elevating the unique sound of those who have their vision and sound dialed in, and the guidance provided in the demo process is invaluable for those still trying to find it.
Can I do this remotely?
Absolutely. The vast majority of our coaching sessions are done via video chat.
What’s the first step?
Booking your Exploratory Session is the best first step for most artists, to get a boost in guidance and strategy, and to help them decide if coaching is right for them. (You can get that scheduled by clicking here.) But if you know you’re ready, then go ahead and purchase your Artist Blueprint to dive right in. Your questionnaire and materials will be emailed to you, along with an invitation to book your Blueprint audit session.

We recommend starting with a Strategy Check-In, a 1:1 mini coaching session with one of our artist development coaches, to arm you with information, clarity, and guidance in whatever area is currently keeping you stuck, and to give you a glimpse of what it is like to have the support of a development coach on your side. This will help you decide if Not Only Noise is a good fit for you.
Strategy Check-In

This 30 minute coaching sample session will give you a bite-sized introduction to our services and provide you with strategies to guide you through wherever you are stuck in your career. It includes:

Foundations for Growth – An Artist’s Guide (A La Carte)

This booklet will prepare you for coaching, or for launching your career on your own, by getting your mindset pointed in the right direction and ensuring you are armed with a blanket set of evergreen music industry information, prompts, tools, and knowledge.
A la carte purchase includes a $25 credit toward any package or service.
The Check-In and all packages include the Foundations for Growth: An Artist’s Guide – a booklet giving you a fast-paced education in music business fundamentals and evergreen information with a focus on mindset and application, including branding, royalties, copyright, social media strategy, market research, release planning, storytelling, and much more. This guide can be used throughout your career as a quick reference or refresher crash-course in area-specific industry standards, helpful mindset, and best practices.

Artist Blueprint
Work with a coach one-on-one to audit your career and trajectory. First you will complete a detailed self-reflective questionnaire intended to help define the missing pieces preventing you from hitting your marks. Next, your coach will evaluate your questionnaire and together you will outline a detailed and comprehensive branding and release strategy extending from the next release to 5 years down the line. Get to the core of your artistic goals, find the gaps in your current strategy, and learn what steps you specifically need to take it to the next level!
